This Casa Padrino pendant lamp is built as a flat drum. A nickel plated frame carries two rows of elongated glass links set one above the other, interlocking like chain links and closing the body all around.

Inside sit six candle sockets. Their light hits the glass from behind, is refracted at every link and emerges again as a dense wreath of small reflections. The bottom stays open, so the dining table is lit directly.

At only 31 cm high the lamp builds low. That makes it the alternative to a classic chandelier wherever ceiling height is tight: above the dining table in a period kitchen, in the hallway or the bedroom.

The 60 cm diameter is enough for a table of four to six. At 9.5 kg the lamp is solidly built and the glass is set by hand.
